Serves 4 – syn free

500g of asparagus spears, roughly chopped
700ml of chicken stock – I used a chicken stockpot plus water to 700ml
1 onion, finely chopped
some fresh thyme leaves – I only had dried
salt and pepper to season
low calorie spray

Spray a large saucepan over a medium heat with some Frylight
Add the onion and cook until softened.
Add some fresh thyme and asparagus and cook for a further 2 minutes
Add the stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat cover and simmer until Asparagus is tender (do not over cook).
Remove half the mixture and blend, return to the pan and mix thoroughly.
